We’re continuing our premiere month with another bonus one-shot!  This is part one of an Eclipse Phase scenario written by Anders Sandberg (which you can find for free here), with Laura handling the GM duties.

Firewall agents around the Saturn system are contacted after another investigation has noticed something very unusual: a smuggled antimatter warhead with quantum entanglement control. Can our agents follow the trail through various subcultures of a scum swarm to track down the device?

Greg – Amir Sektioui: A Brinker security specialist looking for work.

Aaron – Elis Menezes:  A re-instantiated scum swarm technician.

The Reformers come home to the Four Seasons and sell their wares.  They then get hired for their first extermination gig: clearing a restaurant of casualties for an enterprising restaurateur.

THE PLAYERS:

Laura – “Pixie” Mallory: Former pre-med student who volunteered as an EMT, Pixie was out west on an internship when the Crash went down. She’s been working her way back East and home alongside a slowly dwindling squad of Army Reservists ever since.

Ethan – “Freebird”: an Ozark gun dealer with a social justice streak. Used to run with a raider outfit, but got out when they turned white supremacist. He’s trying to make a better life for his black adopted son, Davion, who lost an arm to the raiders.

Aaron – Antonio “Elder” Delgado:  Smuggler turned Mormon missionary who got trapped in the States during the Crash.  Now he uses his truck and criminal past to earn enough for a one-way ticket back to Mexico.

1865. The Civil War has just ended, and two wounded Confederate soldiers and a one-handed nurse must travel through Georgia to acquire papers granting them safe passage home.  Northern aggression will be the least of their worries.

THE PLAYERS:

Laura - Nurse Catherine Danforth: A dutiful caretaker who sacrificed her own health to care for the soldiers of a cause she rejects.

Greg - Sgt. Everett Fussell: An artillery expert, as strong as he looks – and a lot smarter.

Aaron - Cpt. Anderson Brandis: A cavalry officer, the flower of Southern chivalry. The South Shall Rise Again!

The Reformers are cutting out the middleman, raiding a nearby makerspace and selling the goods themselves.  But the negotiations come sooner than expected.
